Valiente Copper-Gold Project
The Valiente Project, located 300 kilometres south of the San Martin Hannan/JOGMEC JV Project in central eastern Peru, defines a previously unknown porphyry and epithermal mineralized belt within a 140 kilometre by 50 kilometre area.
At Valiente, regional exploration has identified 18 intrusion related porphyry/skarn targets defined by coincident Cu-Au-Mo-Ag anomalies with lesser Pb-Zn-Sn-W from multiple datasets, including stream sediment sampling, outcrop and boulder geochemical sampling, geological mapping and airborne magnetics/radiometry. First pass zircon dating has revealed multiple Miocene age intrusive events peaking at 21, 15 and 11 Ma.
The most advanced targets are located in the central and northern parts of the project area — Belen and Previsto, respectively. Previsto is a large alkaline gold epithermal/porphyry target (a style previously not recognized in Peru) in the northern part of the concession package. Previsto boasts a 5 km * 5 km footprint seen as gold in soil and airborne geophysics. The central part of the prospect also contains discrete zones of high-grade gold mineralization in epithermal veins, up to 33.1 g/t Au. High-grade channel results at Previsto include 69.1 m @ 2.4 g/t Au and 13 g/t Ag including 26.0 m @ 5.4 g/t Au and 27 g/t Ag.
Belen is a 12 km belt comprising of three targets: Sortilegio, Vista Alegre and Ricardo Herrera. Sortilegio is an alkaline copper-gold target with results in gossanous boulders up to 4.4 g/t Au and 16% Cu and multiple low resistivity/high chargeability bodies. Vista Alegre is an epithermal gold target, with strong soil anomalism, multiple chargeable bodies and numerous silica-sulphide boulders up to 2.7 g/t Au and 44 g/t Ag. Ricardo Herrera is an outcropping calc-alkaline copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry system with strong soil anomalism, multiple IP targets and evidence of a well developed porphyry mineral system.
Hannan tenure holdings at Valiente are 910 square kilometres (90,979 hectares) prospective for back-arc porphyry copper-gold systems. Control of the Valiente Hannan Project is held 100% through Hannan subsidiaries or in trust via other private companies.
